The mechanics
The tapping points
Nine places, in order, starting at the side of the hand.
By the end of this lessonTap the full sequence from memory.
The setup point is the side of the hand — the karate chop point, the fleshy edge below your little finger. You tap there while saying the setup statement, before the sequence begins.
Then the sequence: eyebrow (inner end, above the nose), side of eye (on the bone at the outer corner), under eye (on the bone under the pupil), under nose, chin (the crease between lip and chin), collarbone (just below the inner ends), under arm (about a hand's width below the armpit), top of head.
Either side of the body works, and using both is fine. What matters is the order and that you keep saying the reminder phrase.
- Side of hand is the setup point — it is part of the sequence, not optional.
- Eight sequence points, top to bottom, ending on the crown.
